What is the Icelandic Air Traffic Control Area?

Isavia ANS is a subsidiary of Isavia and provides air navigation services for both domestic and international flights within the airspace over the North Atlantic. The Icelandic air traffic control area covers approximately five and a half million square kilometers, making it one of the largest control areas in the world. It stretches from the Greenwich meridian in the east to west of Greenland, from the North Pole down past the Faroe Islands, almost reaching Scotland.
