An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the United States Air Force (USAF) has recently been flying to and from Keflavík Airport in connection with a military exercise that took place southeast of Iceland. The exercise was very successful, and the UAV flights have now been officially concluded.
This morning, Steinunn Arna, and Árni Falk from Isavia ANS, participated in a brief ceremony with the Icelandic Coast Guard, where the USAF presented Isavia ANS with a special token of appreciation: an Icelandic flag that flew with the MQ-9 UAV on May 13. Along with the flag came a certificate and a framed letter of thanks.

The US Air Force expressed sincere thanks for the cooperation and the support it received in connection with the exercise.
Isavia ANS emphasizes strong and safe collaboration with domestic and international partners, and is pleased to have contributed to the project's successful outcome.
