A volcanic eruption is ongoing on the Reykjanes Peninsula but is currently not affecting air traffic. Isavia ANS is closely monitoring the situation in cooperation with the relevant authorities.

Training

Isavia ANS operates state of the art training facilities for air traffic controllers, radio operators, air data specialists and flight information providers.

Isavia ANS provides air navigation services in Iceland and is the largest employer of air traffic controllers in the country. Air traffic controllers operate in Reykjavik, Keflavik and Akureyri airports in Iceland and they also service domestic enroute traffic and international traffic within the Reykjavik Control Area.
